Steps

1. Before you leave home, make sure your iPod is fully charged. That doesn't mean 80% charged or even 99% charged... Charge it completely, even if you don't think you'll need all the power.
2. Before leaving home, purchase/find a new iPod case. To ensure the safety of this precious electronic, keep it in the case at all times. Read tips on what kinds of cases are great.
3. Great! Now you're ready to begin traveling. If you would like to listen to your iPod while travelling, keep it in a carry-on bag or in your pocket. If it is in a carry-on, never leave your carry-on & put it in a zipper/locked pocket.
4. Even if you don't want to listen while travelling, to ensure its safety, keep it in your carry-on anyway. You would not want it to be stolen or broken by items in your luggage.
5. If you choose to listen while traveling, make sure the volume does not bother others around you. Keeping the volume at 50% or even lower is the best bet. This also wouldn't be a good time to listen to Panic! at the Disco and belt out "But it's better if we do" or listen to My Chemical Romance and belt out "Welcome to the Black Parade". Have common courtesy to others around you. You wouldn't want someone that you don't know singing at the top of their lungs to "Sugar We're going Down" by Fall Out Boy right in your ear... would you?
6. Now you have safetly arrived at your destination. You're on a cruise/in a hotel room/ in a condo, etc. and you want to keep your iPod safe. Your best bet on keeping it safe is to lock it into your suitcase. Don't take a chance of taking it to the to an amusment park or anywhere unless you need it MADLY.
7. If your going somewhere like the beach or other wet places, leave it in a locked suitcase and not where your clothes or something might damage it.
8. Enjoy music on your trip. Rock out to your own beat!

Tips

• Remember your headphones/earplugs!
• Make sure to bring your iPod charger, it is a good idea to pack a plug-in charger and a car charger.
• Good iPod cases can be bought at the Apple store.
