How to Make Your iPod Faster


Steps
  1. Connect your iPod to a Power source.
  2. Reset your iPod. Turn the hold on then off, then hold the menu and the select button simultaneously.
  3. When you see the Apple logo, hold the rewind and center button on the Click wheel. You will enter Diagnostics mode now, and two options will be present.
  4. Use the Rewind button to select the automatic option. Your iPod will perform a series of tests; leave it alone during that period. The last test will ask you for how much brightness, you have a choice between 100%, 50% and 0%. Choose 50%.
  5. Reset your iPod when prompted.
Tips
  • Hold the menu and the select button simultaneously. When you see the Apple logo, hold the rewind and center button on the Click wheel. You will enter Diagnostics mode now, there will be about 5 choices on the screen, but there is more use the fast forward key to find "contrast". When contrast is highlighted, click "play". Your iPod will perform a series of tests; leave it alone during that period. The last test will ask you for how much brightness, rewind until 50 is reached.

  • This method is only for the 5th generation iPod (iPod with Video).
